Embrace Healing Today

Words of Wisdom

"You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it."

About Abby deForest

I am a licensed Clinical Counsellor specializing in relationships, intimacy, and personal growth. My approach is collaborative, non-judgmental, and rooted in the belief that everyone deserves a safe space to explore who they are and what they want from life.

I work with individuals, couples, and groups who want to process trauma, navigate relationships and intimacy, or reconnect with their authentic selves. Whether you’re facing challenges in love, sex, creativity, or identity, I offer a supportive space where your experiences are respected and your goals are honored.

Services

Individual - online

Individual therapy sessions are designed to address your specific concerns and help you navigate life's challenges. Through a collaborative and supportive approach, we aim to empower you to overcome obstacles and live a fulfilling life.

Sessions are offered online, allowing you to meet privately from your home or office-whether you're seated at your desk, or wrapped in a blanket in your pyjamas, whatever feels comfortable and accessible for you.

Couples - online

Couples therapy focuses on enhancing communication, building trust, and strengthening relationships. I  provide a neutral and supportive environment for couples to address conflicts, improve intimacy, and foster a deeper connection.

Walk and Talk Therapy

Two Women Outdoors_edited.jpg

Walk and Talk Therapy brings counselling outdoors. Instead of seeing a therapist online, we walk side by side in a natural setting while talking. This approach can feel more relaxed and less intense for people who find traditional therapy uncomfortable. Gentle movement and being outdoors can support emotional  processing and a sense of ease that's sometimes harder to access while sitting still. The pace is slow and unhurried, and the session stays focused on what you need emotionally.

Walk and Talk Therapy is offered at New Brighton park, by the ocean. If you'd like to meet at a park by your home in Vancouver or North Vancouver, I'm happy to come to you as well.
